HIGHLIGHTS OF TWO BUSINESSES OWNED
One of my company products was an invention called the Multi Boomdial which was a ratcheted tilting device that attached to any diameter rod on a drum set or stand. This device later became the modern tilting device now implemented on cymbal stands and tom-tom holders of major drum companies. Also one of the first Damper Pedal Bars for Orchestra Bells was produced by my company in the early 60's for Emil Richards' use on a Universal Studios date in Los Angeles.

Another first in the early 60's was a Universal Bass Drum attachment that was invented at Howie's Percussion for Louie Bellson. It was designed to play all four bass drums together or each individually.

The Per-Del Company, when in full production, produced an array of 57 different triangles with brand names such as, Quiro Triangle, Come&Get It Triangles, Symphonic Triangles, Rhythm Triangles, Basic Triangles, Stickrangle, and others which were sold to Dealers in the U.S. and abroad. This company also made products for othe manufacturers such as Avedis Zildjian, Slingerland and Pearl. The Per-del Company was advisor to many percussion product companies in the U.S.

Other custom work was done for recording studios in Hollywood. Percussion sound effects were big in the late 50's and early 60's and I enjoyed the priviledge of making items for percussionists and hearing how they recorded. I mention a few of those musicians who gave me the opportunity to make sound effect instruments and thank all of those who made my career in the music business so much fun; Vic Feldman, Tom Scott, Emil Richards, Julie Greenberg, Gene Estes, Alan Estes, Frank Capp, Tommy Vig, Larry Bunker, Bill Kraft, Karren Carpenter, Ringo Starr, Hal Blane and many others.
